Sin & Salvation – KF Breene

An action-packed finale to the trilogy
⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ 1/2

Sin & Salvation is the third book of the Demigods of San Francisco series. To fully appreciate, understand and enjoy this I really would recommend reading the previous two books, Sin & Chocolate and Sin & Magic. In the books we meet Alexis, her two wards Daisy and Mordecai, the Demi-god Kieran, his posse of bad-ass magic uses (called The Six) and Kieran’s evil ol’ dad, Valens. This, like both previous books, had it’s own complete adventure along with an overarching plot that finally comes to fruition, sort of.

This is one jam-packed story, with a fast flowing plot, lots of action and adventure, myriad plot twists, jaw-dropping reveals and some seriously sexy times squeezed into the mix. To be honest there is so much story that I already feel as though it needs a re-read as I’m sure I missed some important stuff.

That wasn’t my idea of a fun lover’s tryst. Kids could really water down the romance of a situation.

I texted back:
Are you sure about the kids? They have chores to do.

They did now, at any rate.

Alexis, Sin & Salvation

Oh and I’ve not even mentioned the banter yet. The banter between the members of The Six, between Daisy and Mordecai and between Bria and, well, just about everyone. I’m pretty sure that wasn’t all of it either!

We get to see Alexis trying to learn how to use and control her powers before Valens realises just how close to home his biggest enemies lie. We also learn more about the six and their magical abilities, along with Daisy and Mordecai coming into their own. In fact I would love this pair, and the six, to have their own books sometime in the future.

Full of feels, the story really touched my emotions, as well as making me giggle. It held my attention through out and wrapped up all the loose ends, whilst dropping a few new threads to lure us into future books. However it’s the softest of cliff-hangers, and rather more of a segue into another adventure. One that I will only be too happy to journey along with.

“Come with me.”
I wouldn’t have a choice. This train was smashing into the station.

An Amazon ChartsWashington Post and Top 5 Amazon Store bestseller!

Valens has noticed his two missing employees. It won’t be long before he knows who is responsible.

It won’t be long before he claims his vengeance.

The race is on. Kieran and Lexi must scrape together an army worthy of taking on the Demigod of San Francisco before he destroys them all.

But Valens isn’t Lexi’s only problem. Mordecai’s rapid recovery has been noticed, and he has once again become a threat to his old pack.

Lexi’s little family is in jeopardy of being torn apart, and to save them…she must finally embrace what she is.

5 stars – This is a book I will not forget and would definitely read again.

4 stars – I really enjoyed this book, I might not read it again but I would definitely recommend it to others.

3 stars – This story was good but either forgettable or just very typical of its genre.

2 stars – Whilst the book was readable I either didn’t enjoy parts of the plot or just could not connect to the main characters.

1 star – This is a book I simply could not finish for reasons listed in the review.
