#SixForSunday does Wintery Colours

Six for Sunday (#SixForSunday) is a weekly meme hosted by Steph over at A Little But a Lot. The prompts for each week are up well in advance and they are a great way to share your love of all things book.

So this week’s prompt is WINTERY COLOURS, which can be interpreted in any way you see fit, I’m sticking with the obvious and choosing book covers that say “winter” to me. Basically this means they feature blue, and maybe some purple. Though a red and green book cover would also fit the bill, but I couldn’t find one of those in my favourite books list.

Prince of Dreams by Pippa DaCosta

Prince of Dreams (Messenger Chronicles #4) by Pippa DaCosta

Genre – Fantasy/Science Fiction romance

The sparkles of magic remind me of snowflakes and the cover is reminiscent of frost and ice.

Syn by London Miller

Syn (Den of Mercenaries #6)
by London Miller

Genre – Dark Romantic Suspense

This is the first book in a duet, though the sixth book in an interlinked series of stories about a group of mercenaries. For some reason the blue on monochrome just feels wintery.

Finding Passion by Tiffani Lynn

Finding Passion (Colorado Veterans #3) by Tiffani Lynn

Genre – Military/Contemporary Romance

I really enjoy this author’s work. Her stories continue beyond the HEA moment, giving a feel more akin to women’s fiction at times. With snowy mountains and fur covers this definitely says winter to me.

Stolen in Love by G.G. Andrew

Stolen in Love (Love and Lawbreakers #2) by G.G. Andrew

Genre – Contemporary Romance

I just think it looks as though the couple are about to indulge in a mistletoe or office christmas party kiss. The splash of red in the title just adds that festive feel.

The Protector by Elin Peer

The Protector (Men of the North #1) by Elin Peer

Genre – Dystopian/Sci-Fi Romance

Set mainly in a dystopian future Canada, talk of snow, mountains and piercing cold automatically makes this a “wintery” tale.

The Boy and his Ribbon by Pepper Winters

The Boy and his Ribbon (Ribbon Duet #1) by Pepper Winters

Genre – Contemporary/Taboo Romance

This is just such a beautiful cover for a story that will stay in my mind and heart forever.
