It’s Monday! What are you reading?
We’ve had a scorching last few days in the East Midlands, with a dramatic thunder storm on Friday evening. Saturday was cooler but still humid and yesterday was a much more pleasant 20 celcius. My husband is replacing an old wooden bay window with a new wooden bay window – it is turning out to be a much bigger job than we first hoped. He’s doing an amazing job so far. We did have a moment when my son popped out to go to the bank and half way there realised no-one was in and the front window was covered only by a tarpaulin! One emergency phone call to me, a quick dash back from the supermarket (thank goodness I was only in the car park and not the store!) and all turned out well.
It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? is a wonderful place to meet up and share what you have been, and are about to be, reading over the week. It’s a great post to organise yourself. It’s an opportunity to visit and comment and er… add to your groaning TBR pile! Everyone is welcome. This meme started on J Kaye’s blog and then was hosted by Sheila from Book Journey. Sheila then passed it on to Kathryn over at The Book Date.
So last week I read…
Destruction and Inheritance were re-reads in preparation for Redemption, which was an arc read (but one that I already had on pre-order). Guilty Pleasures has been on my kindle (and TBR) list for a while, so it felt good to cross one off the list! The Voyeur was a quick read, it’s a “serial” style story, one book chopped into short parts. Each part is cheap enough and a box set of all 4 can be bought for the same price as similar length novels, so no problem there. I’m still undecided on continuing the story – mainly because I slipped and bought two books already this week. I read resilience because I’m going to beta the second book in the series.
So this is the cover for the original spanish version, but I needed something to display, so this is it. I’m excited to not only find out what happen to Sarah and Bruno next, but also to help shape this into the best story it can be.
The first one is a definite read, the second two are not only on my TBR but are already bought and paid for, so will form part of my “get them read” campaign.
Well that’s my reading week – what about yours? Are you joining in? Let me know and I’ll visit you!
