It’s Monday! What Are You Reading?

#IMWAYR It’s Monday! What Are You Reading?

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? is a wonderful place to meet up and share what you have been, and are about to be, reading over the week. It’s a great post to organise yourself. It’s an opportunity to visit and comment and er… add to your groaning TBR pile! Everyone is welcome. This meme started on J Kaye’s blog and then was hosted by Sheila from Book Journey. Sheila then passed it on to Kathryn over at The Book Date.

Restrictions have been stepped back up across many regions of the UK. In England we have 3 tiers of them, Nottinghamshire is currently in the second tier, so we can meet socially in a group of up to 6 people outside, but there is to be no social mixing indoors. I’m hoping we don’t move up to tier 3 in the next week or two because that means we would have to cancel our plans to visit Bristol. Tier 3 are not meant to visit lower tier regions unless for work.

Last Week’s Reads

So I didn’t quite get around to reading one of last weeks target books but I DID read two others in it’s place, so a successful week all around. Reunion was a beta read, so it will be a while before that is out (it’s part of the Silk & Steel series). I discovered an awesome new (to me) author in Lauren E. Rico and can’t wait to read more of her work.

Currently Reading

Another book off my bought-it-so-read-it TBR list. It’s like trying to shovel a mountain using a teaspoon, but I’ve read more books from the list this year than I have in the previous 4 years, so that’s progress.

Next Week’s Reads

The Julie Kriss book, which I’m looking forward to, is an arc. Yield will complete the Pierced Hearts series, Her Broken Alpha was gifted to me and has been on my radar for a while. The Game popped up on my Goodreads feed when someone liked my review. I read it a few years ago and was intrigued enough by both the blurb and my review to want to re-read it.

So that’s my week in books – as always, Happy Reading!

  1. I hope you don’t move to a higher level of restriction. Our cases are rising but no one’s talking about stay at home orders yet. You have a nice looking assortment of books. Come see my week here. Happy reading!

  2. I just can’t believe you have been hit with more Covid, or I can but its so sad. I was watching about the Czech Republic who have done so well and then gone down in a heap, and protesting wearing masks. I’m nervous that could happen to us. Enjoy your reading.
