Friday Book Blogger Hop

The Book Blogger Hop was originally created by Jennifer @ Crazy-For-Books. It is now hosted by Billy @Coffee Addicted Writings. Each week the hop will start on a Friday and end the following Thursday. There will be a weekly prompt featuring a book related question. The hop’s purpose is to give bloggers a chance to follow other blogs, learn about new books, befriend other bloggers, and receive new followers to your own blog.
Are you more likely to choose to read a book based on the synopsis, or the cover?

An attractive cover has made me pick books up on many occasions. However I have never purchased one based on cover alone – author and blurb are the main factors in my book buying decisions.
For the last six years I’ve exclusively read e-books and the covers of those really do NOT have the same draw power as those of a physical book. This has meant that blurb has become even more important when purchasing books – particularly since my kindle displays them as a rather boring black and white image! As you can imagine, I don’t spend a lot of time looking at them.
Book or Blurb – what’s your choice?

I love a beautiful cover, but you’re so right – it all comes down to the blurb.

I also read on my kindle and the covers are all black and white….Still, I think I bought (quite) a few e-books based on their cover on the website….

Something I didn’t confess is that I’m a sucker for a book on sale….

A book on sale with a good blurb is like a magnet to me😉
And luckily,my iPad shows the covers in all of their colored glory🤩
But still, the blurb is the thing that draws me in the most, because in the end, even if the cover is delicious,it’s still the story you want to read……

I agree that the blurb is way more important for ebooks
