Each Sunday I will be rounding up my week and linking up with The Sunday Post hosted by Kimberley @Caffeinated Reviewer as well as The Sunday Salon meme hosted by the wonderful Deb @Readerbuzz. Do please pop by their blogs and show them a little love 💗.
Life Last Week
The dance show went well last week, though it was a very hot and sunny day with very little shade. Two days earlier it had been so cold we considered taking blankets for this outdoor affair!
The weather was glorious yesterday too, when my daughter and I joined the local Pride march in Nottingham. It was so wonderful seeing people being able to be them self rather than having to fit to the expectation of others.
Books Read Last Week

Stolen Earth was another tick on my “not a romance book” reading challenge for the year. I really enjoyed this fast paced and action packed story.

This was read for a Book of the Month challenge in a Goodreads group I belong to. It’s quite a cotton candy read, enjoyable whilst being consumed but very quickly forgotten about afterwards.

This is the first book/ prequel in a duet that will be released the first week of October. This is a very dark read and comes with a whole raft of trigger warnings. It’s already a favourite read of the year.
Currently Reading

I’m currently buddy reading both of these books. They aren’t ones I would have chosen personally but they are pleasant enough reads.

Looking forward to…
…my middle child starting University. It’s something he has wanted to do for a few years, so I’m really proud of him getting in.
…the challenges of my new job, including our first drop down afternoon and an imminent OFSTED visit.
… harvesting more homegrown produce. We have enough french and runner beans to last until next summer!

Congrats to your middle child for getting into university! Also, your vegetables look beautiful. Our tomato plants did so well this year that I don’t know what to do with all the tomatoes.

We’ve had a similar “problem” with tomatoes. I’ve ended up peeling and cooking them to use in place of passata.

I love the Pride pictures!
I’m also trying to focus more on not-romance books, but I backslide every week. They are just so much fun! Happy Sunday, friend. 😀
