Tell Me Something Tuesday is a weekly discussion post hosted by Jen @That’s What I’m Talking About, where bloggers discuss a wide range of topics from books and blogging to life in general. Weigh in and join the conversation by adding your thoughts in the comments. If you want to do your own post, grab the questions from Jen’s blog and answer them on your own.
What are your favourite books that you read in 2022?
First of all, thank you to anyone who is still following me/reading this! I’m hoping that my unplanned blogging hiatus has come to an end and that I can find a new schedule and balance. I’m not sure how much time, and more importantly energy, I will have once I return to work, but I don’t want to let go of blogging just yet.

So these are the books that really made a mark for me this year. Special mention goes to the Agatha Raisin series, by M.C. Beeton, which I am currently reading via my library app.
The Lifetime Achievement Award goes to Terry Pratchett’s “Tiffany Aching” series-within-a-series. These five books make up an amazing adventure, though reading The Shepherd’s Crown was very poignant as it was Terry Pratchett’s final book.

I love the way this story so accurately describes the pros and cons of small town living. The characters do sound totally endearing and I can totally see getting lost in this world. Excellent review, Jo!

I’ve commented on the wrong post before too so it’s good to know I’m not alone in doing it!

It was right above yours in reader but I’m still not sure how it happened 😂😂. WP is just trying to keep me on my toes.

So, now my response to your post!
Work has been making blogging more challenging for me to, lately, so I totally get it. These are wonderful choices for 2022 favorites, especially Klune – I remember how much you enjoyed those books.

I put a lot of pressure on myelf to reply to comments quickly, visit other blogs and comment and like posts etc. When I miss a couple of days I then feel so overwhelmed it feels easier to stay away. I need to set aside fixed times to do those jobs and be kinder to myself if I don’t have the time to get them done.

You’re back!!! I also enjoyed The Christmas Wish. Time loops are used a lot, so it can be tricky to keep it fresh. I thought Kelk did a great job with it

My only wish would have been to have read it closer to Christmas but it was a Netgalley arc.

Glad to see you back. You’ve been missed. It’s quite often hard to find a good balance between what we enjoy and want to do with our responsibilities. I hope you’re able to find that balance when work starts back up.

Thank you. I probably need to make a schedule for blog hopping, commenting, replying etc too, that way I will hopefully not feel too overwhelmed with things to do.

I’m reading them by character group this time, I started with Tiffany Aching and am now moving on to the witches.

Blogging hiatuses are always rough. I’m glad you’re back, though. I hope you continued to move forward. 😀 I’m glad you had so many books that you enjoyed as much as you did! Hopefully, 2023 will be just as great!

I need to be content with posting only a couple of times a week and not try to do more than I have time for. Hope you have a good 2023 too!
