Friday Book Blogger Hop

The Book Blogger Hop was originally created by Jennifer @ Crazy-For-Books. It is now hosted by Billy @Coffee Addicted Writings. Each week the hop will start on a Friday and end the following Thursday. There will be a weekly prompt featuring a book related question. The hop’s purpose is to give bloggers a chance to follow other blogs, learn about new books, befriend other bloggers, and receive new followers to your own blog. 

Welcome to the weekly book blog hop – is it really Friday already? We’ve been really blessed with some wonderful weather this week, a real indian summer. Though it’s become very noticable how quickly the evenings are drawing in. I feel like I’ve rediscovered my reading mojo this week too, so I’m a very happy bunny!

What draws you in more: the book’s title, the book’s cover, or the summary on the back cover? (submitted by Elizabeth @ Silver’s Reviews)

Elizabeth really does come up with some great prompts and, in answer to her question, like all good book worms a great cover does turn my head. That might lead to me reading the summary and deciding from there, however as someone who only reads ebooks, cover has become less and less of a magnet.


The main thing that makes me investigate a book further is the blurb/synopsis, though there are some authors whose book I will buy just on the basis that I love their work so much. Once that description has peaked my interest then I will read reviews and maybe use the “look inside” or free sample options.


The title rarely intrigues me, though it would be a lie to say never. Summary is the most important thing (usually) and occasionally the cover, but always, always, always reviews to back them up!
